Running Accomplishments:

I have only done a few races.  I acutally ran in the Steamboat Classic 4 miles and the Histio Heros 5K.  I have walked in a few 5ks.  Not very much, but thats what the future is for right?

Short-Term Running Goals:

  • Disney 1/2 marathon
  • Triathalon
  • Become healthier 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Im not really interested in competing in a marathon, however would be very open to doing the Disney Half.  I would consider the full marathon i guess..... :)  I just would like to be healthy my whole life!

Personal:

I am not married, however i do have a wonderful, supportive boyfriend that i hope to be able to call my husband one day.  I do not have any children, however, my boyfriend and i do have  a cat that we refer to as our "fur baby".  I am the assistant director of a before and after school program and so sometimes i feel like i have about 36 children.  Luckily i can send them home at the end of the day!  I am beginning to enjoy being more active and i do like to ride my single speed bike!  I also enjoy dancing (ballet classes soon!) and swimming, vacationing is also at the tops of my list.

My educated decision turned out to be wonderful!  I was able to rest my ankles for another day and i felt GREAT today!  I even ran longer then i usually do....from 2.00 to 2.30.  Not a huge inprovement but i would consider it a success!!  A little chilly today so i had to wear my long sleeve shirt and a windbreaker vest.  Luckily my boyfriend works at Pearl Izumi and i can score awesome  clothes for very little money!  Bonus!

I went to the chiropractor today cause i have alot of tension in my back and what not but today i always had very stiff ankles, in sure due to taking up running again and also starting ballet.  So he did some adjustments and i asked him what he would do.  I have to train today.  He said that as long as i have good shoes (which i do) that i should still run but to keep it short.  I was happy about that cause i didnt want to just skip it all together but i didnt want to go full out and make my ankles tight again.  I think ill take it easy today and then thursday it will be back to my normal schedule! 

 

Well, i made an educated decision not to run today and to just pick it up tomorrow.  :)

No running today cause its an off day....however....my ballet class started!!!

Great run again.  Didnt want to go....kinda like how i always never want to go...but i did and im glad i did. Nothing makes you feel worse then knowing that you have to run and then giving into yourself and not going.  Its almost enought to be a little depressed about.  So i just avoid that and run....except if there is a really good reason like i was sick or something but that hasnt happened.  Hope everyone else had a good day too!
